Pre-Conference Workshop Day

09:00 AM WORKSHOP A: MAKING THE CASE FOR DIRECTED ENERGY SYSTEMS

Given that there is still much uncertainty surrounding Directed Energy Systems – from their capability, to the safety of their operators, it can be difficult for military personnel to make the case for their adoption. Likewise, industry personnel supplying these solutions must answer similar questions – making the case for their systems, and demonstrating how these technologies offer game-changing boosts in capability.

Led by a recognised DEW expert with a wealth of experience in making these and other cases to the US government, you will learn:

  • The importance of defining the future role of DES, and how to communicate this to senior decision makers
  • How DES provide solutions to gaps in current conventional capability, both in terms of effect on target and in terms of logistical simplicity
  • Why DES are simply the next logical step in EW, and should be thought of as such when determining if and how they should deployed
  • How industry and military personnel can better coordinate in order to pave the way for global adoption of this technology

Day 2

09:00 AM DEFINING THE VALUE PROPOSITION FOR DIRECTED ENERGY SYSTEMS

  • The importance of defining the future role of DES, and how to communicate this to senior decision makers
  • How DES provide solutions to gaps in current conventional capability, both in terms of effect on target and in terms of logistical simplicity
